Connect your Instagram Business or Creator account and your agent will automatically read and reply to Instagram direct messages. Setup uses the same one‑click Facebook sign‑in as Messenger.

Before you connect

  • You have an Instagram Business or Creator account.
  • That account is linked to a Facebook Page you administer. (Instagram messaging is managed through the connected Facebook Page.)
Not sure if your account is a Business/Creator account? Open the Instagram app → Settings → Account type and tools to switch. Then link it to your Facebook Page from the same settings area.

Connect Instagram

Open the Instagram channel

From your agent, go to Deploy → Integration Channels → Instagram.

Click “Connect with Facebook”

You’ll be redirected to Meta to sign in with your Facebook Business account and approve access.

Grant permissions

Approve the requested permissions. Meta then returns you to ChatRos.

Done

You’ll see an Instagram Channel Created! confirmation with your account username and ID. Your agent now handles Instagram DMs automatically.

What your agent can do on Instagram

  • Reply automatically to Instagram DMs.
  • Send and receive images.
  • Show a typing indicator and report delivery and read receipts.

Manage or disconnect

Return to Deploy → Instagram to view the connected account or click Disconnect to stop handling its messages.
